Sami Zayn takes Braun Strowman's place in Money In The Bank match after defeating him on Raw

Sami Zayn

Raw hosted the go-home show for this weekend's Money In The Bank pay-per-view in London, and a major change occurred in terms of the men's titular match.

This Sunday, four superstars from Raw and four stars from SmackDown will both try to climb the ladder of success and grab the briefcase containing a contract containing a future world title opportunity.

The line-up was seemingly already complete in advance, but WWE have pulled a swerve at the last minute.

There was one superstar who wasn't happy about the previous weeks events, and that was Sami Zayn who was thrown in a dumpster by Braun Strowman after running down the WWE Universe verbally once again.

Zayn demanded Strowman's place in this Sunday's main event match, but instead he had to fight for it, requesting a Falls Count Anywhere bout against The Monster Among Men.

Strange request indeed considering the brute physicality that Strowman possesses, but it was soon obvious that there was going to be interference, and it came in the form of Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin.

Strowman seemed to fend all attackers off but he was ambushed yet again on the stage, and was suplexed through a ladder for his troubles by both Corbin and McIntyre.

And after a brutal Claymore Kick, both men helped Zayn gain victory with a triple pinfall to eliminate a literal huge threat from this Sunday's clash.

Strowman did gain some form of revenge though by Chokeslamming Zayn through the announce table to close the show, but he seems to be losing momentum by the minute despite gaining strong reactions.

There were reports circulating that Strowman's push may have stopped following WrestleMania after forgetting some spots during the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and the previous year he'd had run-ins with management that also helped stall a push.

Maybe this is why he's also being replaced in the Money In The Bank match, although there may be a niggling injury no-one knows about yet.
