WWE pulls Alexa Bliss from Money in the Bank after suffering concussion

WWE has announced that Alexa Bliss has been pulled from their Money in the Bank pay-per-view this weekend.

Bliss was scheduled to take part in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday alongside Dana Brooke, Naomi, Natalya, Carmella, Mandy Rose, Ember Moon, and Bayley.

However, WWE announced today that last year's Money in the Bank winner will not be competing at this year's show, but they did not say the reason why.

PWInsider has reported that the reason why Bliss has been pulled from Money in the Bank is that she has suffered a concussion.

It was only this past Monday night on Raw that the five-time women's champion was replaced in a Fatal Four-way match between Raw's Money in the Bank competitors after losing her luggage while travelling to Europe.

This storyline excuse may have been used to cover up The Goddess' concussion on Monday, but this hasn't been confirmed.

On that night, Nikki Cross took Bliss' place in the match, and she won the clash too.

Although WWE is yet to announce her replacement for Money in the Bank, The Twisted Sister is the favourite to replace the five-time women's champion on Sunday night after doing so on Raw earlier this week.

Bliss has suffered from several concussions during her time with WWE and has taken a long time off in the past to make sure she fully recovers from them.

It was only last October that The Goddess picked up a concussion, and although she still appeared on WWE programming at the time, she didn't wrestle for several months.

The former Money in the Bank winner spent three months on the sidelines on the back end of last year due to a concussion and various other injuries. She didn't have a match from October 20 until January 27, 2019.

Fingers crossed Bliss won't be spending a lengthy amount of time on the sidelines this time around and that she is able to recover from this concussion very quickly.
