Kylian Mbappe named Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year

It's now been three years since Kylian Mbappe burst onto the scene in Ligue 1.

The striker is still just 20-years-old, which is nothing short of remarkable given that his mantelpiece is already chock-a-block with individual awards.

In addition to three consecutive league titles with Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain - oh, and a World Cup - he has rightly picked up countless personal accolades during his short but glittering career.

The French international was PSG's top scorer this season by quite some margin, scoring 32 league goals and assisting seven. He averaged a goal every 70 minutes. Seriously.

By comparison, Edinson Cavani and Neymar both have 20 apiece. Mbappe really is pushing some of the most respected attackers in world football into his shadow despite his tender years.

On Sunday night, he was deservedly crowned both Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year, the first time any player has achieved that feat in one season, per Squawka.

What's more, the young prodigy has now been named Young Player of the Year three years in a row. He is undoubtedly the one setting the standard, whatever critics might say about the quality of the division.

Mbappe's honours didn't stop there, either, as he also landed a spot in the Team of the Year.

As you'd expect, the XI is littered with PSG stars and he is joined by Neymar, Marco Verratti, Angel Di Maria, Thiago Silva, and Marquinhos.

The only thing that will concern Thomas Tuchel is that while Mbappe continues to dazzle, speculation is going to continue over his future.

Real Madrid are being heavily linked and Los Blancos' 2-0 home defeat to Real Betis will only intensify rumours that they are ready to spend serious money to address their shortcomings this season.

Should Mbappe leave PSG? Have your say in the comments.
